ABOUT US

European Plants was founded in 2007 in Northern Macedonia by Joost Michels from the Netherlands, leveraging years of experience in commercial nurseries. The company began with a 430-hectare agricultural land contract, including 14 employees, and transformed the land by replacing fruit trees, grains, and corn with a large assortment of perennial garden plants.
 

Over the years, the nursery grew rapidly, attracting a wide range of customers and building a strong customer base across numerous countries and markets. By its 12th anniversary in 2019, the company had expanded to 350 hectares of plants, including 300 hectares of open fields and 50 hectares of container fields, supported by 170 employees.

In 2024, European Plants entered a chapter under new leadership, focused on further expanding its operations and maintaining the standards of excellence that have defined its reputation. We are committed to continuing its legacy of growth, innovation, and sustainability.
